How we got here
2010 Recognizing by the time they begin formal schooling, children in low-income families already lagged significantly behind middle class peers academically, socially, and physically, Mosaic Ministries established Baby University, the first step in developing a Cradle to Purpose pipeline for South Toledo. hcz.com
“Baby U” began in partnership with Cherry Street Mission funded by a generous grant from the ProMedica Advocacy Fund of the Toledo Community Foundation.
2011 The Baby University Graduate Program began to offer more to our graduates after attending Baby University.
2015 Baby University formed it’s own Board of Directors, and Baby U incorporated.
2017 Baby University partnered with the HCNO's Pathways Program to improve health outcomes in South Toledo and connect our families to more resources.
Today we have over 800 graduates of Baby University and serve 200 families a year.
